교수님 통역할때 이런 억양과 이런 속도로 말하는거 어떻게 생각하시나요?

존경하는 교수님, 안녕하세요?

저는 통대 지망생입니다.  궁금한게 있어서 여쭈어봅니다.

 

1)재클린 케네디 인터뷰예요.

재키 케네디가 미스 포터스 스쿨, 바싸르등 사립학교 출신이라 보통의 미국인과는 많이 다른 악센트를 갖고 있고 속삭이듯 말하는게 특징인데요

통역사가 이런식의 영어로 말하면 좀 우스울까요?

제가 말이 좀 빠르다는 지적을 받아서 일부러 천천히 말하는 연습을 하고 있는데요

평소 좋아하는 재키 스타일로 말해보려고 연습하다가 궁금해서요..

교수님 의견이 궁금해서 여쭈어 봅니다.

 

2)내년이 정년이라고 알고 있는데 그래도 대학원 강의는 계속 하시는건지 궁금합니다. 꼭 교수님께 배우고 싶은 마음이 간절해서요. 기록적인 폭염속에 건강 유의하시고

1차 시험이라도 통과해서 2차시험때 평소 흠모하던 교수님 꼭 뵈었으면 좋겠어요.^^

1)재클린 케네디의 발음과 속도에는 아무 문제가 없습니다. 재키 케네디가 미스 포터스 스쿨, 바싸르등 사립학교 출신이라 귀족같은 발음이지만
 천천히 말하기 때문에 이해에 문제가 없습니다. 속삭이듯 말하는게 매력있네요. 통역사가 일부러 이런 식의 영어로 말하기는 힘들지만
 귀족(?) 출신 통역사는 속도가 느려서 고객이 좀 답답하겠네요.
 말이 좀 빠르다는 지적은 아무 문제 없어요. 통역사의 자질  중 하나는 특히 모국어를 빠르고 정확하게 하는 것인데
 동시통역에서 유리하기 때문이지요. 일부러 천천히 말하는 연습보다는 빠르면서도 정확한 발음을 연습하세요.
 평소 좋아하는 재키 스타일로 말해보는 건 재미로 그치세요.
2)이 달 8월 말이 정년이고 대학원 강의는 1주에 한 과목만 합니다.
1차 시험이라도 통과해서 2차 시험 때 시험관으로 가면 꼭 뵙시다.
