교수님 질문이 있습니다.

안녕하세요? 교수님.
저는 대학원 번역과정 입학을 희망하는 학생입니다.

공부 방법에 대해 질문이 세 가지 있는데요,,
게시물을 죽 읽어보면서 교수님이 달아주신 댓글들을 보니 "잘 이해한 글을 통암기하면 된다"가 핵심인 것 같습니다. 그런데 이 "이해"의 기준이 궁금합니다.

사실 저는 완벽주의이고 호기심이 많아서 모르는게 나오면 내용 파악을 위한 어휘 뿐 아니라 꼬리에 꼬리를 물어 그 이면의 뜻, 그 기사의 정치/문화적 배경, 고유명사까지 검색합니다. 사실 저는 이렇게 뭔가 하나씩 알게 되는 게 참 좋긴 한데 입시대비로 하는 공부를 이렇게 학문적(?)으로 파고드는게 맞는지가 고민입니다. 이렇게 공부를 하면 오래동안 기억에는 남지만 너무나 지치고 공부하는 양이 아주 적습니다.

1. "이해"의 기준이 글의 모든 단어 뜻의 용법을 완벽히 알아 각 문장을 문장구역할 수 있는 정도의 수준인지요? 아니면 모르는 단어가 나와도 그냥 흐름으로 유추해서 알면 넘어가고, 진짜 꼭 알아야만 하는 단어만 찾아서 내용을 파악하고 각 문단의 내용, 전체 글의 주제/메시지/흐름을 이해할 수 있는 정도인지요?

2. 그리고 더불어, 우리말로는 말하다 이지만, 영어로는 talk, say, tell, express, mention 등 다양하기 때문에 뉘앙스 파악이 필요할 것 같습니다. 또 요약의 경우 지문에 나오는 어휘를 쓰면 안되서 동의어를 많이 아는게 중요하다고 생각이 듭니다. 그래서 영영사전을 이용하는데요,, 번역을 하려면 거기에 맞는 우리말 뜻도 알아야 되잖아요,, 그래서 영영사전과 영한사전 다 이용해서 표현을 정리하고 하는데 이렇게 하는게 느리지만 바른 방법이 맞는지요?

3. 위의 방법처럼 하다가 너무 지쳐서 중요한 단어면 나중에 또 나오겠지, 그냥 많은 문장을 접하자라는 생각으로, 요즘에는 그냥 단어나 예문을 정리안하고 그냥 문장이나 글을 통째로 외우고 있긴 한데,, 지금 제대로 하고 있는게 맞는지 궁금하여 이렇게 질문을 드립니다.
