교수님 궁금한 점이 있어서 질문 드립니다

선생님 안녕하세요
저는 외대 불어교육과 졸업생이고 졸업 후 영어교사로 7년정도 근무하였습니다.
출산후 전업주부로 지내다가 이제 아이들이 6세가 되고 내후년에 초등입학을 앞두고 있어서 저도 다시 직장으로 복귀하고자 고민하던중 통역대학원 생각을 하게 되었습니다.

대학원 진학을 고려하는 이유는
1)제가 전공이 영어가 아니라 늘 아쉬움이 남아 있었고
2)이제 두 아이 엄마이다보니 풀타임 직장보다는 프리랜서로 일하는것이 좋을것 같고
3)무엇보다 그냥 영어를 너무 좋아합니다. 영어를 가르치는것보다는 제가 영어를 직접 구사하는쪽이 훨씬 좋구요

한가지 마음에 걸리는 점이 나이가 많다는건데요(40대초반)
학교에 문의해보았지만 재학생들 연령대는 알려주기 곤란하다는 답변을 들었습니다.
혹시 재학생중 40대도 있는지, 과연 이 나이에 입학해도 괜찮을지 여쭈어보고 싶어서 교수님께 상담 문의드려봅니다.
졸업후에도 나이가 걸림돌이 될까봐 염려가 됩니다.

참고로 저는 국내파이고 어학연수도 두번 다 프랑스로만 다녀와서 영어권 국가 연수나 유학 경험은 없습니다.
다만 영어를 최초로 배운 나이가  6세여서 영어에 대한 부담은 없는 편이고 20대중반에 대기업 국제업무팀에서 2년간 영어 통번역 담당 업무를 했었던 경력은 있습니다.
