곽 교수님 안녕하세요?
통대 입시 설명회(2000)에서 교수님을 뵈었었고요 통역에 관심이
 있는 사람으로서 교수님에 대해서 어떤 친근감마저 느끼네요.
교수님이 쓰신 책을 읽었는데요 교수님께서는 한영불 통역을
 하신 것으로 알고 계신데 저도 3개 언어를 생각중이거든요.
한영일로 하고 싶은데 흔히들 영어 조금 일어 조금 한다고 해서 한영일 지원하면 절대 가능하지 않으니 하나만 집중하라고 하잖아요.그래서 저도 1월부터 일어통대학원만 매진을 하였는데요 두어달 공부해보니 영어랑 같이 해도 될꺼 같다는 생각이 들어요.왜 그렇게 생각하냐면요 통역에서 중요한 것은 얼마나 언어가 네이티브에 가까운가가 아니라 이해,표현, 순발력, 논리력이 뛰어나 언어의 가교 역할을 잘 할수 있는지의 여부에 더 집중을 두잖아요.그래서 한언어를 잘하는 사람은 다른 언어도 잘 배우기때문에 2개다 병행을 해서 잘 할수 있을까요?고대 일문과를 이번에 졸업했는데요 외고때부터 해온 일어에 푹 빠져서 대학교도 수석으로 졸업하고 3학년때 미국 New York State University에 1년간 교환학생(영어권 선발시험 수석)을 다녀왔는데요 그 곳에서도 일어일문학과 과목을 6개 포함 8과목 들었는데 전체 다 A+로 외국인 최초로 일문과 수석을 했어요. 그곳은 일어를 영어로, 영어를 일어로 통번역 하는 과목이 많았습니다.어딜 가나 일어, 영어는 네이티브가 아니냐라는 말을 많이 들었고 실제로 일어 영어 기자회견 통역까지 20여차례 맡아보았는데요.교수님 앞에서 감히 제 자랑을 하려는 것이 아니라 객관적으로 한영일을 공부할수 있는지에 대한 저의 신상을 말씀드리는 겁니다.
그래서 제 질문의 요점은요...
1. 한영, 한일을 각각 자신이 있다고 생각하는데도 역시 통대에서 가뭄에 콩나듯 한다는 3개 언어는 무리인가요?
2. 그래서 차라리 한영이면 한영, 한일이면 한일 2개언어에 전력을 다하는게 좋을까요?
